This space should give you an idea about the two mavericks behind the website, why this? What do we aim to achieve ? Read on.. Might be a wee bit interesting 🙂

The male factor.

I am an Indian. I have multiple nicknames Jeevs, JP, Jerry and a few that my mom has given me which are not to be mentioned on here. I have been called a maverick and a little bit of a nonconformist.
I have a Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy, MBA in marketing and am a Photographer. I have taught photography for over 5 years and was a trainer for Canon in India. I have a passion for teaching, love nature and actually would love to travel the world if someone gives me that as a full time job. I LOVE good food and my single malts ( can’t afford them everyday).

I am a total dog person ( I love snakes as well). We as a family have 2 dogs but the one that’s my baby is Kubar, our bear like Karakachan. Pssst.. If you plan to visit us, let us know in advance, he’s not kind to strangers and owns our yard.

I am the muscle behind our gardening project, and the waterman during summer 🙂 On the website, I am responsible for the travel write ups, the photography lessons and managing the website in general.

The female factor.

I am a Bulgarian. My nickname is Stars, that’s the actual translation of my name. By profession I am a lawyer, ( so don’t think about messing with us ) :). I have always had an artistic streak and was itching to do something different. So, I took up fashion designing and used that knowledge to create outfits and decors for photographers in our region.

Like my better half, I love dogs and I am mom to Ari, our Golden retriever, Kubars as well but then he’s more of papa’s boy.

I am the brain behind the garden assisted by our teenage daughter. I plan the produce, plant and nurture it. Oh and it’s not that I got up one morning as a gardener, I took a few courses in Permaculture and gardening 🙂 All the articles on gardening on here are my contributions. I am not really tech savvy so I leave the technical part of uploading ,SEO and other jazz to my better half.

Why this?

We are two diverse people with a lot in common in terms of what we want from life. In fact love got the Indian here, he crossed the proverbial seven seas leaving everything behind in India to be with her.
When we married and time went by, we realized our end goals in life were similar. We are headstrong, dedicated ,sensitive, empathetic and care about animals, humans and the world in general.

After moving to Izgrev in 2019, which is a beautiful little village near Varna, our life took a different turn. The place is full of fresh air, open space, and abundant nature. We slowly started looking at a sustainable life and began reducing our carbon footprint as much as we could. We try to avoid plastic, stopped eating fish, reduced our meat intake by choice. Simultaneously we started dabbling in growing our own produce. And after a couple of years, now we have become pretty good at it.
In between when we get the time, we wizz off to some travel destination to see and learn something new. ( that’s what Jeevs likes doing).

What do we want to achieve through TwoTravelersStory?

We want to Inspire others. Someone wise once said that the change begins within oneself. If we can inspire a few people to make the most out of their life, to start taking steps towards sustainable living, we would believe we are successful. We want to take you on a journey across Indian and Bulgarian culture, traditions, food and fun facts ( recipes will be thrown in for free). Share our knowledge on urban gardening and how you can grow your own produce in limited space. We want to inspire you to let your kids grow their own little organic garden at home. Imagine the proud feeling they will experience when they see the fruits of their labor.

Most important? We want to bring a smile to your face.

Down the line we would like to Invite you to come visit us with the kids, let them see the garden and learn about it first hand. And at the same time enjoy a delicious home cooked Indian meal by the master chef from India :D.
